< 하느님께서 당신 백성을 다시 모아들이실 것이다. >
해설) 주님을 거부하고 거역하였지만 회개하고 주님께 돌아오면 주님께서는 억압에서 풀어주고 흩어진 당신 백성을 다시 모아들이실 것입니다. 오직 회개만이 이스라엘이 귀양살이에서 돌아올 수 있는 열쇠입니다. 남북이 주님께로 돌아설 때 화해의 날이 올 것입니다. 남북이 주님 안에서 진정으로 회개해야만 일치의 날이 올 것입니다.
그 무렵 모세가 백성에게 말하였다. 1 “이 모든 말씀, 곧 내가 너희 앞에 내놓은 축복과 저주가 너희 위에 내릴 때, 주 너희 하느님께서 너희를 몰아내 버리신 모든 민족들 가운데에서 너희가 마음속으로 뉘우치고, 2 주 너희 하느님께 돌아와서, 내가 오늘 너희에게 명령하는 대로 너희와 너희의 아들들이 마음을 다하고 정신을 다하여 그분의 말씀을 들으면, 3 주 너희 하느님께서 너희의 운명을 되돌려 주실 것이다. 주 너희 하느님께서는 또 너희를 가엾이 여기시어, 주 너희 하느님께서 너희를 흩어 버리신 모든 민족들에게서 너희를 다시 모아들이실 것이다. 4 너희가 하늘 끝까지 쫓겨났다 하더라도, 주 너희 하느님께서는 그곳에서 너희를 모아들이시고 그곳에서 너희를 데려오실 것이다. 5 주 너희 하느님께서는 너희 조상들이 차지하였던 땅으로 너희를 들어가게 하시어, 너희가 그 땅을 차지하고 조상들보다 더 잘되고 번성하게 해 주실 것이다.”

Moses said to the people: 1 When all these things, the blessing and the curse which I have set before you, come upon you, and you take them to heart in any of the nations where the LORD, your God, has dispersed you, 2 and return to the LORD, your God, obeying his voice, according to all that I am commanding you today, you and your children, with your whole heart and your whole being, 3 the LORD, your God, will restore your fortunes and will have compassion on you; he will again gather you from all the peoples where the LORD, your God, has scattered you. 4 Though you may have been dispersed to the farthest corner of the heavens, even from there will the LORD, your God, gather you; even from there will he bring you back. 5 The LORD, your God, will then bring you into the land your ancestors once possessed, that you may possess it; and he will make you more prosperous and numerous than your ancestors.

해설) 마지막 날에 해방하여 하느님 백성으로 삼으실 것을 보증해 주신 성령을 슬프게 하지 말아야 합니다. 그리스도께서는 우리 구원을 위해 당신 자신을 바치셔서 하느님 앞에 향기로운 예물과 희생 제물이 되셨습니다. 그리스도를 본받아 희생과 보속의 생활을 해야 합니다. 남북이 주님 안에서 회개해야 화해와 일치의 날이 올 것입니다.
형제 여러분, 29 여러분의 입에서는 어떠한 나쁜 말도 나와서는 안 됩니다. 필요할 때에 다른 이의 성장에 좋은 말을 하여, 그 말이 듣는 이들에게 은총을 가져다줄 수 있도록 하십시오. 30 하느님의 성령을 슬프게 하지 마십시오. 여러분은 속량의 날을 위하여 성령의 인장을 받았습니다. 31 모든 원한과 격분과 분노와 폭언과 중상을 온갖 악의와 함께 내버리십시오. 32 서로 너그럽고 자비롭게 대하고, 하느님께서 그리스도 안에서 여러분을 용서하신 것처럼 여러분도 서로 용서하십시오. 5,1 그러므로 사랑받는 자녀답게 하느님을 본받는 사람이 되십시오. 2 그리스도께서 우리를 사랑하시고 또 우리를 위하여 당신 자신을 하느님께 바치는 향기로운 예물과 제물로 내놓으신 것처럼, 여러분도 사랑 안에서 살아가십시오.

Brothers and sisters: 29 No foul language should come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for needed edification, that it may impart grace to those who hear. 30 And do not grieve the holy Spirit of God, with which you were sealed for the day of redemption. 31 All bitterness, fury, anger, shouting, and reviling must be removed from you, along with all malice. 32 And be kind to one another, compassionate, forgiving one another as God has forgiven you in Christ. 5:1 So be imitators of God, as beloved children, 2 and live in love, as Christ loved us and handed himself over for us as a sacrificial offering to God for a fragrant aroma.

< 사람이나 세 사람이라도 내 이름으로 모인 곳에는 나도 함께 있다. >
해설) 하느님께서는 개인 기도보다 공동체의 기도를 더 잘 들어주십니다. 둘이나 셋이 예수님의 이름으로 모인 곳에 부활하신 예수님도 현존하시며 함께 간구하시기에 하느님께서 기도를 더 잘 들어주십니다. 구약의 주님께서 이스라엘 백성과 함께 계시듯이 이제 부활하신 예수님께서도 새로운 하느님 백성인 그리스도 공동체와 함께 계십니다.
그때에 예수님께서 제자들에게 말씀하셨다. 19 “너희 가운데 두 사람이 이 땅에서 마음을 모아 무엇이든 청하면, 하늘에 계신 내 아버지께서 이루어 주실 것이다. 20 두 사람이나 세 사람이라도 내 이름으로 모인 곳에는 나도 함께 있기 때문이다.” 21 그때에 베드로가 예수님께 다가와, “주님, 제 형제가 저에게 죄를 지으면 몇 번이나 용서해 주어야 합니까? 일곱 번까지 해야 합니까?” 하고 물었다. 22 예수님께서 그에게 대답하셨다. “내가 너에게 말한다. 일곱 번이 아니라 일흔일곱 번까지라도 용서해야 한다.”

이스라엘을 흩으신 하느님께서 그들을 다시 모아들이십니다. 남북으로 갈린 우리 민족도 주님께서 다시 합하실 것입니다. 먼저 우리가 주님 안에서 서로 용서하고 화해해야 합니다. 그리고 갈등과 미움을 버리고 서로 마음을 합하여 주님께 간절히 청한다면 주님의 은총으로 분명 다시 하나가 될 것입니다.

1. 나는 어떤 기도를 합니까? 나는 기도 속에서 어떤 것을 청합니까? 나는 기도에 대한 응답을 받았다고 생각합니까? 그렇지 못하였다면 내 기도에 무엇이 부족합니까?
2. 내가 담을 쌓거나 등지고 사는 이웃이나 형제는 없습니까? 무엇이 그들을 등지게 하였으며 나는 왜 그들을 쉽게 용서하지 못합니까? 형제들을 용서하기 위해 필요한 것은 무엇입니까? 그것을 기도를 통해 구해보십시오.

Forgiveness and Reconciliation
In First reading of Deuteronomy, Moses tell the people to to return to the Lord. Even though rejected and exiled because of rebellion and apostasy, Israel should not be absolutely or forever cast off. When dispersed among the nations, if the people should return to Jehovah their God, he would again receive them into favor and gather them from their dispersion.
In second reading of Ephesians, Let no rotten word come out of your mouth, but if something is good for the upbuilding of a need, in order that it might give grace to those who hear.
In the Gospel is from Matthew, if even the Christian community fails to bring about reconciliation, what must we do? Jesus seems to say that we have the right to abandon stubborn and obdurate offenders and treat them like social outcasts. The tax-collectors and Gentiles were regarded as "unclean" by the religious-minded Jews. However we know from the gospel accounts that Jesus often had fellowship with tax-collectors, ate with them, and even praised them at times! Jesus refuses no one who is ready to receive pardon, healing, and restoration. The call to accountability is inevitable and we can't escape it, both in this life and at the day of judgment when the Lord Jesus will return. But while we have the opportunity, we must not give up on stubborn offenders, but, instead make every effort to win them with the grace and power of God's healing love and wisdom. Do you tolerate broken relationships or do you seek to repair them as God gives you the opportunity to mend and restore what is broken?
Prayer “Lord, make me an instrument of your healing love and peace. Give me wisdom and courage to bring your healing love and saving truth to those in need of healing and restoration." - Amen

헨리쿠스 츠디크(Henricus Zdik, 또는 헨리코)는 체코 서부 보헤미아(Bohemia)의 통치자의 아들인 듯하지만 태어난 곳은 체코 동부 모라비아(Moravia)이다. 1126년에 그는 모라비아 올무츠의 주교가 되었고, 그의 희망에 따라 벤체슬라우스 1세(Wenceslaus I) 공작이 대성당을 재건해 주었다. 그 후 그는 예루살렘을 순례하던 중에 그곳에서 프레몽트레 회원이 되었고, 영적인 높은 단계를 직접 체험하였다. 또한 교회에 대한 그의 정열은 다양하였는데, 1141년에는 프로이센(Preussen) 사람들을 개종시키는 선교사로 그리고 십자군에도 가담하였다. 또한 그는 프라하(Prague)의 스트라호프(Strahov)에 시온산 수도원과 리토메리체에 올리버 수도원을 직접 세웠다.
