+ 사도행전 5,17-26
< 여러분께서 감옥에 가두신 그 사람들이 지금 성전에서 백성을 가르치고 있습니다. >
해설) 사도들은 하느님의 계시에 대한 확실한 증인들로서 예수 그리스도와 함께 지내며 보고 들은 것을 증언합니다. 그들은 유다의 원로들에게보다 하느님에게 복종해야 함을 느낍니다. 주님의 사도들은 부활하신 예수 그리스도를 증거 해야 할 사명을 받았으며 그 사명은 하느님으로부터 받은 것임을 알았습니다.
그 무렵 17 대사제가 자기의 모든 동조자 곧 사두가이파와 함께 나섰다. 그들은 시기심에 가득 차 18 사도들을 붙잡아다가 공영 감옥에 가두었다. 19 그런데 주님의 천사가 밤에 감옥 문을 열고 사도들을 데리고 나와 말하였다. 20 “가거라. 성전에 서서 이 생명의 말씀을 모두 백성에게 전하여라.” 21 그 말을 듣고 사도들은 이른 아침에 성전으로 들어가 가르쳤다. 한편 대사제와 그의 동조자들은 모여 와서 최고 의회 곧 이스라엘 자손들의 모든 원로단을 소집하고, 감옥으로 사람을 보내어 사도들을 데려오게 하였다. 22 경비병들이 감옥에 이르러 보니 사도들이 없으므로 되돌아가 보고하였다. 23 “저희가 보니 감옥 문은 굳게 잠겨 있고 문마다 간수가 서 있었습니다. 그런데 문을 열어 보니 안에는 아무도 없었습니다.” 24 성전 경비대장과 수석 사제들은 이 말을 듣고 일이 앞으로 어떻게 될 것인가 하며, 사도들 때문에 몹시 당황해하였다. 25 그때에 어떤 사람이 와서 그들에게 보고하였다. “여러분께서 감옥에 가두신 그 사람들이 지금 성전에 서서 백성을 가르치고 있습니다.” 26 그러자 성전 경비대장이 경비병들과 함께 가서 사도들을 데리고 왔다. 그러나 백성에게 돌을 맞을까 두려워 폭력을 쓰지는 않았다.

17 The high priest rose up and all his companions, that is, the party of the Sadducees, and, filled with jealousy, 18 laid hands upon the Apostles and put them in the public jail. 19 But during the night, the angel of the Lord opened the doors of the prison, led them out, and said, 20 "Go and take your place in the temple area, and tell the people everything about this life." 21 When they heard this, they went to the temple early in the morning and taught. When the high priest and his companions arrived, they convened the Sanhedrin, the full senate of the children of Israel, and sent to the jail to have them brought in. 22 But the court officers who went did not find them in the prison, so they came back and reported, 23 "We found the jail securely locked and the guards stationed outside the doors, but when we opened them, we found no one inside." 24 When the captain of the temple guard and the chief priests heard this report, they were at a loss about them, as to what this would come to. 25 Then someone came in and reported to them, "The men whom you put in prison are in the temple area and are teaching the people." 26 Then the captain and the court officers went and brought them, but without force, because they were afraid of being stoned by the people.
묵상) 사도들이 감옥에 들어갔을 때 부활하신 예수님께서 징표를 주십니다. 주님의 천사가 사도들을 감옥 밖으로 이끌어 낸 것입니다. 천사는 사도들에게 그들의 직무를 다시 일러 줍니다. 그래서 사도들은 체포당했던 그 성전 뜰에 가서 복음을 전합니다. 사도들은 예루살렘 성전에 가서 사람들에게 생명의 말씀을 전합니다.
+ 요한 3, 16-21
< 하느님께서 아들을 세상에 보내신 것은 세상이 아들을 통하여 구원을 받게 하시려는 것이다. >
해설) 하느님께서 이 세상을 극진히 사랑하시기 때문에 당신의 외아들을 우리에게 내어 주십니다. 그 외아들은 사람이 되신 말씀이시고 십자가 위에 높이 매달리신 말씀입니다. 예수님께서는 아버지를 위하여 십자가에 달리십니다. 하느님의 외아들을 선물로 받은 우리는 참 생명의 말씀을 선택하는 과감한 결단을 내려야합니다.
16 하느님께서는 세상을 너무나 사랑하신 나머지 외아들을 내주시어, 그를 믿는 사람은 누구나 멸망하지 않고 영원한 생명을 얻게 하셨다. 17 하느님께서 아들을 세상에 보내신 것은, 세상을 심판하시려는 것이 아니라 세상이 아들을 통하여 구원을 받게 하시려는 것이다. 18 아들을 믿는 사람은 심판을 받지 않는다. 그러나 믿지 않는 자는 이미 심판을 받았다. 하느님의 외아들의 이름을 믿지 않았기 때문이다. 19 그 심판은 이러하다. 빛이 이 세상에 왔지만, 사람들은 빛보다 어둠을 더 사랑하였다. 그들이 하는 일이 악하였기 때문이다. 20 악을 저지르는 자는 누구나 빛을 미워하고 빛으로 나아가지 않는다. 자기가 한 일이 드러나지 않게 하려는 것이다. 21 그러나 진리를 실천하는 이는 빛으로 나아간다. 자기가 한 일이 하느님 안에서 이루어졌음을 드러내려는 것이다.

16 God so loved the world that he gave his only-begotten Son, so that everyone who believes in him might not perish but might have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world might be saved through him. 18 Whoever believes in him will not be condemned, but whoever does not believe has already been condemned, because he has not believed in the name of the only-begotten Son of God. 19 And this is the verdict, that the light came into the world, but people preferred darkness to light,because their works were evil. 20 For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come toward the light, so that his works might not be exposed. 21 But whoever lives the truth comes to the light, so that his works may be clearly seen as done in God.
묵상) 빛이 세상 안으로 들어옵니다. 진리를 행하는 이들은 빛이신 하느님께로 나아갑니다. 어둠 속의 행위들은 이제 더 이상 어둠 속으로 피할 수 없게 됩니다. 믿는 이들은 하느님 안에서 빛을 받게 됩니다. 참된 일을 행하는 이들과 말씀을 믿는 이들은 빛을 향하여 나아오며 하느님의 빛을 받아 온 세상에 알려지게 됩니다.
빛의 삶이란 진리를 실천하며 예수 그리스도를 증거 하는 삶입니다. 빛을 등지고 선 사람은 긴 그림자의 어두움 속을 걷게 됩니다. 그러나 아무리 어두운 어둠도 밝은 빛 아래에서는 그 힘을 잃습니다. 우리가 빛이신 예수 그리스도께로 나아갈 때 우리는 어둠 속을 걷지 않고 부활의 삶과 구원의 삶을 살 것입니다.

1. 하느님께서 세상을 너무나도 사랑하신다는 것을 나는 어떻게 느끼고 알 수 있습니까? 또 하느님의 외아들을 믿는다는 것은 무엇이라고 생각합니까? 하느님은 내가 무엇이기에 나를 구원하시려고 당신의 아들이 십자가에 달리는 고통을 참으셨습니까? 나의 죄를 심판하려 하지 않으시고 구원을 통해 주시고자 하시는 '영원한 생명'은 무엇을 의미합니까?
2. 나는 빛 앞에 어떻게 서있습니까? 나의 마음속의 빛과 어둠은 무엇입니까? 빛과 어두움 중 어느 것에 더 마음이 끌리는 것 같습니까?

First Reading : Acts 5:17-26 Gospel : John 3:16-21
God's love and judgment
Stanislaus was born in Szczepanow, in Poland, in 1030 and after studying in Paris and Liege was appointed bishop of Cracow in 1072. It is said that he was martyred in 1079 at the hand of Prince Boleslaus II, who is said to have been a cruel and evil man and for which Stanislaus had excommunicated him.
We read today that St Peter and the apostles are again imprisoned for speaking about Christ. This time, they are miraculously set free and go immediately to the Temple where they again preach openly about Jesus. The text for today ends with Peter giving witness in the Jewish supreme court to the resurrection of the Christ.
In the gospel, Jesus is telling Nicodemus that he was sent into the world because of the Father’s great love for his creation and that salvation awaits those who believe in him. We are called on to have belief in the Lord just as Peter and the apostles had but also to let that faith be seen by those with whom we come into contact.
Prayer : "Lord Jesus Christ, your love is better than life itself. May your love consume and transform my life that I may desire you above all else. Help me to love what you love, to desire what you desire, and to reject what you reject". - Amen

폴란드 크라쿠프 교외 슈체파노프(Szczepanow)에서 출생한 성 스타니슬라우스(또는 스타니슬라오)는 그니에즈노(Gniezno)에서 수학한 뒤에 서품되었다. 그는 설교가로서 곧 명성을 얻었을 뿐만 아니라 수많은 사람들이 그의 영적 지도를 받으려고 애썼고, 교회 개혁 의지를 강력히 표명하여 어느 정도의 성공을 거두었다.
1072년 그는 크라쿠프의 주교가 되었는데, 국왕 볼레수아프 2세(Boleslaw II)의 잔학성과 불의를 고발함으로써 왕과 적대관계가 되었다. 그래서 그가 국왕을 파문하고 대성당의 출입을 저지하자, 볼레수아프 왕은 크라쿠프 시외의 성 미카엘 성당에서 미사를 봉헌하는 그를 직접 끌어내어 살해하였다. 성 스타니슬라오는 폴란드 국민의 상징이다. 그는 1253년 9월 8일 교황 인노켄티우스 4세(Innocentius IV)에 의해 아시시(Assisi) 대성당에서 시성되었고, 폴란드의 수호성인으로 공경을 받고 있다.
